Breakside, Stars On Ice. Double IPAs used to be such a drag! They were hard to make, didn't stay fresh for very long. and most of the time, people wanted their IPAs in an everyday size. But something's changed in the last few years! Now we have access to more refined hops-- concentrated pellets, aromatic flowables, isolated terpenes, new varietals with novel oil profiles, hop boosting yeasts -- and they ve made making double IPA fun again! The brewer's toolbox for making amazing hoppy beer has never been so vast! These are hops that have been processed and packaged to last, and wow, trust us, can they throw a ton of amazing aroma that was nigh-impossible to get from classic pelletized hops. Stars on Ice! is a double IPA for 2024: it's light, bright, dreamy, and fun. It features a heavy hand with Strata C6X-- the concentrated hop pellet that our friends at Crosby Farms developed, and Mosaic Incognito-- an infamous liquid form of Mosaic that helps create a deeply saturated, oily hop flavor. We couple these with some New Zealand-grown Nectaron which brings a ton of stonefruit and old school diesel to the plate, and Talus, the under-appreciated supporting actor, that throws notes of lime leaf, tangerine, and peach melba. Fresh drop from Original Pattern Brewing Co. just landed!

Not Velvet, But Cashmere. It doesn't get much smoother or more luxurious than this buttery IPA. Unlike most of our hazys, we utilize a cool whirlpool for this brew to focus the juiciness as much as possible while at the same time reducing bitterness. Brewed with Cashmere, Citra, and Strata hops, snuggle up for notes of lime zest, fresh-cut melon, and a surprisingly light body. 6.2%

Whatever Makes You Hazy. We make plenty of hazy IPAs with the new hotness in hops, but you can't knock the classics! Citra, Mosaic, and Centennial hops bring tried and true passion fruit, grapefruit, and mango character to this IPA, along with a semi-dry finish. If it's not broke, don't fix it. 7%

Reach For The Saaz. It doesn't get more crisp than this ultra-clean, 100% Czech Saaz fueled lager. This low ABV crispy boy still features delicate notes of crackers, caramel and earthy wood despite it light a crisp body and mouthfeel. Uniformity Of Nature. Smash the past, the future is a new OAK x ELKG collaboration with Flatland Brewing Company that is more art than science; Uniformity Of Nature WCIPA. Made with assertive amounts of Mosaic 702, Riwaka, Nectaron, Enigma hops and 7% ABV, Uniformity Of Nature destroys all theory while keeping it fresh to death with aromatic flavors of olallieberry, red currant, and Makrut lime.

Eldritch. This is a hazy IPA hopped with Galaxy, Idaho 7, and Simcoe. 6.8%

Our friends at Breakside Brewery just hooked us up with their last two barrel aged releases of 2023!

You Can't Do That On Television. When we sat down to sample barrels for our final two blends of the year, we had originally earmarked the cohort of barrels that became the centerpiece of this blend for an adjunct-laden stout, and we had imagined that a most roast-forward set of barrels would form the heart of a traditional, non-adjunct beer. The nine casks that form the focal point of this blend had strong notes of caramel, milk chocolate, fig, prune, fruit cake, toffee, and chocolate pudding. After 20 months in barrel, there was a mellowness to these beers, a soft, chest-warming alcohol note that allows grassy notes of rye whiskey and dusty cocoa to come through as well. We loved the complex array of dessert-like artifacts in this initial blend, but despite the well-articulated pastry notes, the beer needed some more sweetness and vanilla-like notes. So, we went back to the wood cellar and found two casks of extra-aged porter and stout that helped round out the body, add some wood-derived vanillin, and pump in a whiff of classic Kentucky Bourbon. 14.4%

Doug. This is an unusual beer for us in two different ways. First, we rarely use non-traditional adjuncts in these barrel-aged stout blends. Generally speaking, we find the diversity of flavors and aromas that wood, base beer, time, and blending to be so great and wide-ranging that we don't find adding "extra" ingredients—even delicious ones—to be necessary or even beneficial. But in tasting the barrels that we blended for this project, we thought there was a really lovely floral, vanilla-like note that would sing from being turned up. Doug is also unusual in that it is all blended from a single batch of American Imperial Stout. Most of the blends in our barrel-aged stout program consist of beer from 3 or 4 different batches. This was the first time that we finished a blending session feeling that the cohort of barrels from the "centerpiece" beer didn't benefit from additions of other beers. 14.3%

TGIF! We just received a fresh drop from There Does Not Exist!

Foreteller. This is a black lager brewed with soft water, German malt & hops, time, and our beloved, all seeing lager yeast. A base of pilsner malt sets the stage for a sprinkling of various highly kilned, and roasted, specialty malts. The combination of these raw materials yield a beer that is black in color, with tinges of ruby red around the edges of your glass, and flavors + aromas of baking chocolate, smoke, and a hint of cola. Just like a premonition, these all vanish quickly, and yield to a dry finish that keeps your face in your glass. 5.1%

LightLost. The base of LightLost pyramid was built with sacks and sacks of flaked/malted oats + malted spelt (an ancient variety of wheat). These malts and adjuncts help assemble the golden opalescent haze and pillowy mouthfeel. The cosmic aromas and flavors start with a dose of Citra and El Dorado in the whirlpool and are followed up by unethical levels of dry hopping and Centennial, Amarillo, Chinook, and a sprinkle of Hallertau Blanc. LightLost jumps out of the glass eith aromas of Mandarin, ripe apple, vanilla, and a hint of Purple Kush. Where will yoi be ehen all the LightsLost? 6.9%

Headsman. This is a modern West Coast style IPA - very pale, light and zippy on the the palate - that has a KILLER (haha, dude.) hop profile. Hopped hot side with the dankest CTZ we could find, Citra, and HBC 586 - we laid down an aromatic base of stoner metal fruit snacks. Then, post fermentation, we CHOPPED UP bags of more HBC 586, Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic & a touch of our favorite Nelson Sauvin from Freestyle Hops. This combo EXECUTED an oily, saturated finished beer with the perfect blend of fruity aroma varietal hop character, but backed by enough grungy dankness to balance. Certainly a new favorite of our brewhouse HEADSMAN. 6.66%
